Wonder What If
Picture this:
A crow with ruffled feathers, and underneath the caption reads,
I got up early. There was no worm.
I couldn’t take a picture of a stranger’s t-shirt, but I could certainly relate to it, and have a chuckle, too.
How often do we discover that the ‘truths’ we thought existed are not quite as expected?!
Sometimes it is a complete 180 degree turn on what we believed to be true.
There really is no worm.
Often it is more nuanced.
I wonder, what if …
the worm will appear later in the day, or only on Wednesday’s,
it is a millipede, and not a worm,
the worm is there but I can not see it for some reason,
or, any number of other possibilities …
Yes, the unexpected can ruffle our feathers, unless that other saying is true, and we
expect the unexpected.
I wonder, what changes when we do.
