Wander In

If the door remains ajar,

opportunity has a way of wandering in.

The decision to close a door on some chapter in our work or lives often triggers a feeling of finality. The ‘thing’ feels done and dusted and we’re ready to move on to what is next.

Of course, there’s usually a lag between the decision and the actions required to fully close the door.

How often does the unexpected find its way to us at these times?

It might be the chance to bridge from here to what is next.

It might be a serendipitous left-turn.

It might be something wild and wonderful that we have never considered.

However tempting it is to slam a door shut and move on quickly, sometimes the best thing we can do is leave the door ajar.
