Holding On
Hold on …
In Charles Mackesy’s delightful book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, we see this exchange between the boy and the horse:
“This storm is making me tired,” said the boy.
“Storms get tired too,” said the horse, “so hold on.”
Work, life, the world itself, can have us feeling like we are in the middle of a storm. And, yes, navigating the storm/s can leave us physically, mentally and emotionally tired.
Maintaining hope, optimism and the strength to see it through isn’t always easy and that’s why the horse’s words in this story remind us that patience and persistence will get us through.
I’m holding on … how about you?
