Who said that?
Have you ever heard yourself speak only to wonder, ‘who said that?’ It is one of those moments where you do not recognise the source of the words coming from you.
That’s not what I was thinking …
That’s not what I believe …
That’s not what I value …
That’s not what I want to say …
There are many a reason that sit behind this disconnection. Fear and psychological safety are often at the top of the list.
And, it could simply be as Miles Davis once said:
Sometimes it takes you a long time to sound like yourself.
