One begins: 

Upon learning that elephants have matriarchal societies

I slow down…

These poems are her revelations and insights, actions and changes upon learning something new.

So is the way for us lifelong learner types. 

Forever paying attention, 

curiously exploring, questioning, and

discovering something new, 

or, at least, new to us.

And, with that learning, we move forward, forever changed by it.
