Start Of Change
We can start.
When poet Adam Martin writes:
This is how it starts.
Not with a speech —
but with a refusal.
He reminds us that change doesn’t always announce itself over the loud speaker.
It is more often found in quiet, purposeful actions. One person’s actions that refuse to give up hope. One person’s actions that show integrity and moral courage. One person’s actions that give another the courage to take their own.
The more impossible change feels, the more we are compelled to act.
If we each have the power and courage to be the start of change, I’m curious, how might you?
