Saying Merci

One word.

The card pinned to my notice board has one word, albeit an important one.

Merci.

I found the card during a recent desk declutter and wanted to pin it front and centre, as a reminder of the importance of saying thank you.

The merci I had received in this card was unexpected. The subject of it wasn’t anything I might consider extraordinary. Though to the thanks-giver it was, and the card an expression of their gratitude. For which I, too, am grateful.

When I look up and see the card, I’m reminded that one word (or two, if we’re going with the English version 😉) can make a difference to ourselves and others.

As we venture into a new week, I wonder where you might find an opportunity to say merci.
