Savour The Quietude
Quietude
is to be savoured.
When the week kicks off with a public holiday, it is a good excuse to ease on in.
A little longer over breakfast and coffee.
A little, albeit productive, burst of attention to some of the jobs to be done.
A little lingering in the warmth of the sun, watching the bees buzz around the flowers.
A little - that becomes a lot - of time to simply be.
Quietude can be found when the phone/email/messages/socials are not ringing and pinging; when there’s nowhere to be, and no-one to see.
It feels easier to access this on a day like today. And, of course, we know we can choose peace, calm and quiet on any day.
We also know that it’s good for us, which makes me wonder, how we might intentionally find those ‘quiet moments when the line blurs between the pedestrian and the divine’.
Thanks Fia Skye of Flying Edna for this quote to describe why a day of quietude is to be savoured.
