Remember When
Remember when?
Not always, and that’s ok. We are human, and sometimes we forget things.
What about when we all forget?
Collective forgetting can happen in families, communities, workplaces, and across societies as a whole.
In our fast-paced, don’t-look-back, productivity-obsessed world, it can be tempting to remove time and space for reflection, learning, stories, knowledge and wisdom sharing.
When this happens we stand to lose a great deal. We risk repeating yesterday’s mistakes and never bringing about much-needed change for tomorrow.
Perhaps one of the most productive and future-focused things we can do is to make collective remembering a priority in all parts of our work and life.
I’m curious, how much of a priority collective remembering is for you and those around you?
