Real Is Real

Real is better.

Because real is real.

Have you noticed the increasing aversion to real in many parts of work and life?

I was again reminded of it today as I sat in a coffee shop between two tall buildings. I noticed the green tinting on the windows of the ground floor conference room, and soon realised it was coated in a picture of lush green rainforests.

Ha, I thought, what better way to forget that you are stuck indoors on a training course than to be surrounded by pretend nature.

Of course, this is only one small example of where ‘pretend’ comes at the expense of real.

I personally love holding - and being part of - training that happens outdoors and in real nature.

I’m curious, what other examples in your work and life might be better if we returned to real?
