Play The Long Game
Remember the long game.
Especially when we get to the end of a day,
the list staring back at us, and
it remains long,
or longer than we had hoped when the day started out.
The cult of productivity would have us feeling despair or focused on our failings.
Over time, though, things have a funny way of working out.
Especially when we remain committed and consistent with our actions.
It’s like that well-known (attributed to many*) saying that we often over-estimate what we can achieve in a short time and under-estimate what we can achieve over a long time.
When we’re playing the long game, every action contributes, don’t you agree?!
* often attributed to Bill Gates, or Tony Robbins, and no doubt others. Today, I’m thankful for Jeandre, The Creative Convert for reminding me of this saying.
