On We Grow

Face to the light, and on we grow …

These words from poet Donna Ashworth as she says goodbye to January remind me of the sunk cost fallacy.

How often do we find ourselves continuing down the path because of what we have invested in it?

How often do we struggle with leaving the ‘sunk costs’ of the past behind and starting again?

And yet it is by looking forward that we can learn from what has been and continue to develop and grow.

The light of the new month is shining. Let’s go.
