Math At Work

Math games are fun.

I’m not talking about Sudoku, 2048, or similar. Although they are fun, too.

I mean the math you play in your head when things change.

Reschedule a meeting. Add 2 hours to your calendar. It often feels like 4.

Back to back commitments makes a day feel twice as long. Leave time between commitments, magically creates breathing and thinking time to step through with ease.

Co-work silently with a group of people for 30 minutes and accomplish hours worth of work.

We play these types of math games day in and day out, often without considering how they impact us both positively, or otherwise.

I’m curious what you see and feel when you consider the math games that make up your days. Perhaps it is time to play some more.
