Interested In Interesting

Why does that interest you?

With genuine curiosity, the questioner wanted to know why my friend and I were deep-diving into a random topic.

We are curious.

We enjoy finding out new things.

We are intrigued when able to join dots, recognise patterns and zoom out to the big picture.

We seek understanding, meaning and mastery.

We find learning energising, motivating and fun.

To us, nothing is random. The world is our oyster and there are more things that interest us than don’t.

There are labels like multipotentialite, renaissance woman/man, t-shaped learner, and more that go some way to describing it.

And, there’s the simple truth that being interested in things makes things interesting which keeps us interested.

How’s that for a virtuous circle of learning?!
