In Sight, In Mind

Out of sight, out of mind.

It is the case when I cover my dog’s itchy paws, and it applies to many things in our work and lives.

The notice placed in a drawer.

The document in a folder.

The product at the back of a shelf.

Of course, it isn’t a problem if it’s being, or has been, dealt with.

Too often though we place things out of sight when they are too complex and difficult, or we’re awaiting something or someone, or they’ve been usurped by the urgent. Oh how quickly they’re forgotten.

Times like these it’s worth revisiting the systems for bringing the important things into sight, and to keep our minds and action firmly on them.

I’m curious, what might benefit from being in sight and in mind in your work and life?
