Worthy Of Being
I was going to …
A sentence that can be represented by a long list of unchecked boxes.
Our focus often lands on the unchecked ones. After all, we live and work in a world that wears busy as a badge and equates outputs and ‘doing’ as worth.
Most of us have long lists. Most of these lists contain unchecked boxes. And, most contain enough checked boxes, too.
What if we flipped the switch on this thinking? What if we stepped away from counting checked boxes and focused in on the change we seek, the difference we made, and the meaning we discovered? What if we used sentences, such as:
I progressed …
I am working on …
I practiced …
I helped …
Tomorrow I will …
Our days, weeks and selves are more than worthy of being,
regardless of what we did/didn’t, should/shouldn’t, will/won’t do.
