Unexpected.

but certainly welcome.

We can be pleasantly surprised,

and remain hesitant.

We might hold our concerns close,

as we do our best to welcome in unexpected positive news.

Do we dare to dream?

Do we dare to imagine?

Do we dare to expect more, and better?

I hope so.

And perhaps when we do, those pleasant surprises might not be so surprising after all.
