One size fits all …

is a furphy.

This size fits me …

is better.

At a personal level it might be

clothing,

habits and approaches,

thoughts and ideas,

values and beliefs,

tastes and styles.

In our workplaces it might be

goals and objectives,

structures,

custom and practice,

culture and norms,

values and beliefs.

The myth of one size fits all sends us down the path of monotonous, unfit for purpose, copycat, misaligned and misdirected efforts.

Sometimes we stumble across something that fits like a glove. Of course we can only know this size fits me when we are clear on our unique purpose, needs, and wants.

I know …

it takes

time,

effort,

money

and more.

But when something fits our one-in-eight-billion(ish) unique self it is always worth it, don’t you agree?!
