Running Out
“We’re once again running out of month …”
These words in a message I received might be written tongue-in-cheek but they go to the core of how we often feel.
Time races ahead, the to-do list lengthens, and we feel as though we are always behind.
Upon receiving this message, instead of panic (a reflex reaction) I chose to pause and take a deep breath (a, hopefully, more intentional response).
With that deep breath came space for clear thought and the ability to action what needed to be actioned before the month runs out.
Chances are we’ll be running out of month once again next month, or the one beyond that, but it’s amazing what a difference a deep breath can make.
