New Inspiration

An old list

can provide new inspiration.

As I cleared my desk, there it was: a long, scribbled list from a few months ago.

Mostly complete, I perused the ticks alongside the items and remembered the moments they represented. There is the satisfaction of achievement when you get to reflect back.

I paused on the unticked ones and pondered the consequences of their incomplete status. Time had moved on, and most no longer mattered. One required attention and was promptly elevated. The final one, though, lingered. It was a want more than a need, an idea that had not gone away, and it was just the spark to create an updated version to go on today’s to-do list.

We often think inspiration and motivation come from big places, and that they are breakthrough, auspicious moments.

Sometimes, they are waiting for us, right under our noses.

I’m curious, where’s an obvious place you might find inspiration today?
