Momentum > Perfection

Aim for momentum not perfection.

When we focus on perfection it can be paralysing. We can find ourselves staring at a blank page, or its equivalent.

The quality of what we start with does not matter. What matters is that we start with something.

This is why we have a warm up prompt in our online co-writing sessions. Or an opening routine in a workshop. Or intention setting in a meeting.

Practices that divert our focus away from the perfect start, and have us take that first step, no matter how awkward or imperfect it may be.

Momentum creates momentum, and momentum gets things done.

Which makes me curious, how might you create some momentum to get things started today?
