Messy Everythingness

Monday … just a day of life, in all its messy everything-ness.

These words from poet Donna Ashworth encapsulates how many of us feel at the start of the week.

Messy everything-ness can have us feeling a little hopeless and helpless.

We might feel it in the sense of overwhelm. We might see it in our calendars or on our desks. We might hear it from the many, varied notifications and requests coming our way.

Donna follows this insight into messy everything-ness with two more words: Lucky us.

And, just like that, we have flipped our Monday feeling into one of good fortune, gratitude and joy.

After all, it sure beats ordered nothing-ness, don’t you agree?!
