It’s A Choice

Choices …

I’ve made a few!

When I read an article highlighting the risks of keeping all the tabs open on my web browser, I was faced with another choice.

How much do I value the convenience - and memory aid - that this long-time practice of mine brings, over my increasingly-strong desire to reduce the everyday surveillance tactics I am subjected to?

It has been suggested that we make upwards of 20,000 decisions a day, and so this one landed as one more thing my decision-addled brain needs to deal with.

Reflecting, and being clear, on my values and beliefs alongside the tools and techniques for discerning information, understanding risks and impact of all choices, is what helps me to make the vast array of decisions I make each day.

And then, with the choice made, I simply close a bunch of tabs and move on.

As I move on to recurring ‘what do I feel like eating?’ choice, I’m curious to know how you manage your way through a day’s decision making.
