Invest The Time

Invest the time.

So often our focus is on saving time. Our productivity driven cultures are all about how we might do something faster, or with minimal effort, or just enough to tick the box and get it done.

An investment, of any sort, requires a longer term approach. We need to be prepared to sacrifice something today for a bigger return tomorrow.

When we see saving time as the only way, we miss the opportunity to nurture and grow beyond now. An investment in time ripples well beyond today and creates a different future.

Which makes me wonder how we might invest the time in our relationships, our learning, knowledge and growth, our work, and ultimately our lives.

Investing the time is a change worth making, don’t you agree?!
