Ideas To Action

Where’s my idea?

Our brains are great for coming up with ideas. They are a little more challenged when it comes to retaining and actioning those ideas.

Until we write them down.

When we capture our ideas the old-fashioned way using pen and paper, we are activating sensory responses in our brains and strengthening the neural pathways around the idea itself.

Not only can this become the backbone of a system that captures and stores our ideas without depending on the deep recesses of our in-brain storage, it has been discovered that our ideas become tangible and we are more likely to action them when we write them down.

So simple and yet so powerful.

All the more reason to pop that notebook and pen in your pocket as you go about your day.

I’m curious as to how many ideas you find yourself capturing today.
