I Don’t Know

Will it work?

I don’t know.

It’s an honest answer, albeit not a comfortable one. We yearn for certainty in most parts of our work and life until that certainty is confirming that there is no certainty 🤯

In the unknowing we increase our propensity to tell a story, or two, to bring comfort and a sense of security to the matter at hand. 

We all know the saying about comforting lies and uncomfortable truths. The queue for the first is longer by far.

When I return to the original question I began with of ‘will it work?’, the uncomfortable truth is that we do not know. 

We can not, and will not, know until we do something.

Perhaps that is where our stories, and subsequent energy might be best placed, don’t you agree?!
