Hold On To Hope

Hang on to your hope.

These words from author E. B. White are as important today as they were when written.

The letter from which they are taken, also contains the practical advice of:

I shall get up Sunday morning and wind the clock, as a contribution to order and steadfastness.

And, whilst we may not need to wind our clocks today, there are many a ritual or practice that we can use to similar effect.

In times of change, upheaval and uncertainty, it is the steady rhythm of our days that bring calm to the chaos, and keep our hope for better alive.

What practice do you choose as your ‘contribution to order and steadfastness’ today?
