Grand Plans
Grand plans
are grand …
when they go to plan.
More often than not, as I hear myself uttering the words:
I had grand plans …
it is to exclaim the width, breadth and depth of disappointment in the gap between my expectations and reality.
Grand plans appeal to the achiever, planner and perfectionist inside of me.
Grand plans, though, often set me up for a fall.
Grand plans tend to operate much better when life isn’t life-ing.
And given that life does its life thing all the time, perhaps it’s time for some good, fun plans, or some grand maybes instead.
This change in the grandness of our words and actions may be a change worth making, don’t you agree?!
