Done Lists

What’s on your done list?

In his book Meditations for Mortals, Oliver Burkeman encourages us to keep a done list each day as an antidote to the stress of the never-ending to-do lists we wrestle with.

Once we let go of the ingrained productivity-driven ‘shoulds’ and ‘have-to’ expectations we set for ourselves, we can avoid the reflex response of, I didn’t get anything done today.

Capturing all of the dones in a day becomes a reflection practice that is both enlightening and rewarding, and is another step in the transition from human doing to human being. And, that is a change worth making, don’t you agree?!
