Done Feels Good

Done feels good.

After tackling a must-do project with my son, we got to savour the results of our efforts.

We did good. And, it feels good.

There’s a reason we tend to write to-do lists. Or use task and project management apps. Or keep a tally of our progress.

It feels good to mark an achievement, and to savour the moment.

Tick.

Tick.

Done.

Of course, with any good thing, we can take it too far. The dopamine hit from crossing off done tasks is alluring, and we must keep our focus on our progress on important matters, rather than ticks for ticks’ sake.

As we head into a new week, I’m wondering what other achievements I might get to savour.

How about you?
