Awe Is Awesome

Awe is awesome.

An obvious statement, I know.

Awe is one of those things - like sunshine, vegetables and laughter - that is good for us but we don’t always get enough of.

This week I stumbled across the winning photograph in the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition. An underwater photo of cauliflower coral that looks remarkably like a painting. It is remarkable and awe-inspiring.

We are bombarded with SO. MUCH. STUFF. day in and day out that we can become indifferent to the wonder of life.

And, then all it takes is something AWEsome to stop us in our tracks.

We pause;

we take it in; and

we feel better.

It’s the weekend, what better time to seek out the awe-inspiring, don’t you agree?!
